Brief Overview

The Vapir NO2 is a precision portable vaporizer with full digital temperature control. The NO2‘s cordless, ergonomic design allows you to sit back and enjoy each session without the need to plug-in to an electrical outlet. The NO2’s bright digital display is easy to view and displays battery life, actual temperature, and the set temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The NO2 is perfect for cordless vaporization at home or on-the-go.

See User Guides below for full usage information.

Using Your NO2

A: The NO2 was created to simplify the portable vaporization process, and this ease of use is part of the reason its such a popular vaporizer:

Plug in your NO2 to the AC adapter and ensure you have a charge the battery. Adjust the desired temperature to your O2 Mini using the buttons on the front.

Load your blends into the chamber. Push the ‘Heater’ button to engage the heater.

Allow the NO2 to warm up (red light)until the set temperature is reached(green light).

Slowly draw from the NO2, as vapors should be produced immediately.

See ‘User Guide’ tab on the left for more information.

A: The NO2 like medium to medium-fine grind. Make sure the grind level creates particles that are slightly larger than the holes in the top screen.
A: The NO2 will reach its set temperature within two minutes.
A: Nope, the NO2 has set temperature memory when powered off.
A: The three main factors that will determine vapor quality are oven temperature, grind quality/consistency, and draw rate.

Best practice is to start with low temperatures, and play with the those three variables until you find the vapor sweet spot.

Start with just increasing the temps(gradually, and allowing the NO2 30 seconds to adjust) and see if you find the thickness you are after.

A: The NO2 was designed for aromatic blends only.
A: The NO2 was designed for North America, so you will need an inverter if you wish to use the NO2 in areas that do not serve 110v.
A: The NO2 is capable of temperatures from 200°F to 400°F (93°C to 204°C
A: 400°F or 204°C

A: Yes, the NO2 is capable of displaying both. Hold down the On/Off button for 30 seconds to switch.
A: The heating chamber is brass, the screens are stainless steel, and the cap and tubing are both plastic.
A: Brass
A: The NO2 has a top end temperature of 400°F or 204°C, so as long as your set temperature is appropriate for the particular blend you are using, you should not have any over-heating whatsoever.
A: With the NO2 most owners report that only filling the heating chamber 1/2 to 2/3 full is sufficient. Loading more, or tightly loading the blend did not produce optimal vapors.
A: That is solely up to your preference, and how full you have loaded the heating chamber
A: The NO2 will shut off after 20 minutes of inactivity.

As a general safety rule, do not leave the NO2 unattended while powered on.

A: The NO2 screens are unique in the industry, and created specifically for the NO2. We have replacement screens for the NO2 available.
A: The NO2 Vaporizer can definitely be used while plugged in and charging!
A: A car charger is not included with the NO2, but we have them available.
A: Yes. The range of the NO2 is large but is greatly extended with an optional extra battery.
A: Yes, you know we’ve got you covered! NO2 replacement batteries.
A: Vapir recommends a maximum time on charge of 8 hours. Do not exceed 8 hours on the charger. Set a timer to remind you to unplug the NO2.
A: All battery technologies are affected by the cold, try and keep the NO2 warm, close to the body or near a moderate heat source for best operation.
A: There is a battery indicator on the screen that shows the current level of the battery, measured graphically in battery bars.
A: Yes. The NO2 will not charge unless you turn the unit on.
A: You should charge the battery for 6-8 hours your first time, and subsequent charging(s) will take about three hours. That is a decent amount of time, but the NO2 has a large battery, so @ roughly 2 hours, it will last longer than most portable vaporizers.

Cleaning & Maintenance

A: Its important to check your NO2 and its parts periodically to ensure peak performance.

Always unplug the vaporizer from the electrical outlet and allow to cool COMPLETELY before cleaning, 30 minutes should be sufficient.

You can use a can of compressed air to spray in those places that are hard to reach. Also, you can use a simple cotton swab lightly moistened with Rubbing Alcohol. Lightly moisten the cotton swab while being careful not to over-moisten to avoid any liquid leeching into the unit and causing damage to the electronic parts. Be careful while using any liquids with your Vapir Vaporizer as any damage to electronic parts due to liquids will void any warranty on your product. Rub the lightly moistened cotton swab on any soiled areas to clean the device, this should help you clean your unit.

Always make sure your vaporizer is COMPLETELY dry before plugging it back in to charge.

Do not attempt any internal or external repairs to your unit as doing so may cause fatal injury – or worse – void your warranty! (Please contact us if you feel something is wrong with your vaporizer.)

A: Its important to check your NO2 and its parts periodically to ensure peak performance.

Pay close attention to the heating chamber, and if soiled, use a cotton swab that is lightly damp with isopropyl alcohol to clean. USE CAUTION! Do not allow any alcohol into the unit.

The screen above the heating chamber will take the most buildup. Check it often.

A: It is okay to soak the screens in alcohol, while washing the plastic top cap, extension tube, and mouthpiece in warm soapy water. You may clean the heating chamber with isopropyl alcohol.
A: The screen directly above the heating chamber will take the majority of the buildup and will need to be cleaned more often than any other part. Soaking alcohol will allow the buildup to dissolve, and we have replacement screens if you want some extras on hand.
A: If you need extra batteries, mouthpieces, extension tubes, screens, or more power options, we have you covered!
A: The NO2 comes with a cleaning brush and two wooden picks. Additionally you will need cotton swabs, isopropyl alcohol depending on the level of buildup.

Getting the Most Out of Your NO2

  • In between cleanings, the screen inside the top cap might incur some buildup, causing it to be sticky. If you are having trouble removing the screen, its time to soak in warm water to loosen. Once free, soak the screen in isopropyl alcohol, and the plastic again in warm soapy water to remove any remaining buildup.
  • Keep your heating chamber, tube, and especially the screens clean. Inspect periodically to ensure that the screen is free of debris; if it isn’t, soak the end of the wand up to the screen(or the entire wand if you need to clean it). Also, with an empty wand, turn the unit on high, and pull very slowly through the whip. This should super-heat the screen, drying out any buildup. Repeat this for two or three draws. Once its heated through and dried out, blow forcefully through the mouthpiece and force out all the dry debris.
  • Empty your used chamber as soon as possible after use, this will cut down on buildup.
  • Use caution not to blow back into the mouthpiece. This could cause vapor particles to travel into areas they don’t belong.
  • If you aren’t getting exactly the vapor quality you are after, look at adjusting any and/or all of the following variables until you find your sweet spot.
    • Grind Consistency – are the ground-up particles all roughly the same size?
    • Grind level – the NO2 prefers a medium grind, but experiment with finer or coarser grinds to see if it achieves the result you are after.
    • Amount Used – Some vaporizers thrive when loaded fully. Others, not so much. Start with the NO2 half full, and adjust as needed.
    • Draw Rate – Convection vaporizers with good airflow can have their temperatures altered by the speed at which you draw a breath. As the air passes over the heating element, obviously it heats up. If you draw fast, causing the air to move quickly over the heating element, it only has “X” amount of time to heat up. However if you draw slowly, the air has much more time to heat up, and therefore will deliver a much warmer air to your blends. Drawing fast = cooler temps; drawing slow = warmer temps.
  • The NO2 can be used without the included mouthpiece and hose, but the vapors will be noticably warmer. If you prefer vapors that are even cooler than the included hose can provide, you simply need a longer hose.

Keeping your NO2 clean is the best way to ensure its peak performance.

  • The elbow screens will take most of the buildup. Soaking in isopropyl alcohol will clean them perfectly. The NO2 comes with an extra elbow screen, but we highly recommend having replacement screens on hand.
  • To clean the hose, soak in warm soapy water and manipulate the hose if needed to dislodge any stubborn buildup. Rinse twice and allow to air dry before use.
  • The NO2 body can be cleaned with a warm damp cloth. Always unplug or remove the battery from the NO2 before cleaning, and allow it to cool down. Never bring liquids near the NO2.
  • Emptying the heating chamber immediately after use will cut down on the buildup you experience.
  • Soaking the upper screen in isopropyl alcohol should remove any buildup, use the included small soft brush if necessary.

Need Assistance with your NO2?

Try these Solutions to common issues:

A: If using 110v power, ensure all connections are tight from the wall to the NO2. If on battery power, ensure the batteryis fully charged, and that the connections are all snug and functional. Need an extra battery just in case?
A: If the NO2 is reporting accurate temperatures which are set according to your specific blend, and you are still not getting vapor production, check to see that the top cap/mouthpiece is on securely. If not, it may allow fresh air into the heating chamber in a way that prevents vapors from traveling to you. You may need to remove, and re-seat the cap to ensure its fit. Ensure chamber has been freshly loaded and does not contain spent/used blends.
A: Its time to turn it down. We suggest starting with a much lower temperature, one that might not even vaporize, and working your way up from there. This is a foolproof method to prevent over-heating!
