Brief Overview

The Extreme Q, by Canadian manufacturer Arizer, is a multi-functional, feature-rich, tabletop vaporizer. For efficient and user-friendly functionality, few vaporizers can compete with the Extreme Q. This “jack-of-all-trades” vaporizer produces superior vapor quality, whether delivered via balloon (forced air) or whip (direct draw).

See User Guides below for full usage information.

Using Your Extreme Q

A: The Extreme Q offers either balloon and/or whip delivery – both are simple to use.

Basic overview – Once the Extreme Q is up to the temperature you set, add the filled Cyclone Bowl, followed by either the whip or balloon kit. Turn on the fan, and vapor should start appearing within seconds.

Full instructions are available on the ‘User Guide’ tab.

A: The Extreme Q is a versatile vape that can handle most grind levels, however medium is best. Large grind is less efficient, and fine grind could cause screen/airpath blockage.
A: The Extreme Q will reach vaporization temperatures within two minutes.
A: The Extreme Q remembers the last set temperature used when you turn the power on.
A: There are many factors at play here, including grind consistency(are all the particles roughly the same size?), grind level(fine, medium, coarse), moisture content of your blend, chamber fullness, etc. Altering these variables will allow you to tailor the output of the Extreme Q to your personal preference.
A: The Extreme Q was designed for dried aromatic blends. We don’t recommend the use of liquids and concentrates inside the Extreme Q.
A: Yes, the power supply works on both 110v/220v for worldwide use. You might need an outlet adapter.
A: The Extreme Q is capable of temperatures from 100°F 37.8&degC to 500°F 260°C
A: The Extreme Q is capable of 500°F or 260°C
A: Absolutely, temperature conversion is located in the on-screen menu.
A: The Extreme Q uses only the finest quality materials. The heating element is ceramic surrounded by borosilicate glass, the vapor path is borosilicate glass and high quality tubing. The outer shell is made from stainless steel and high-grade plastic.
A: The heating element is ceramic, surrounded by borosilicate glass.
A: With temperatures as high as 500° possible, make sure that the temperature reading on the Extreme Q is set correctly for the particular blend you are using, and you should never over-heat!
A: The heating chamber is larger than most, and can handle more blends than some other vaporizers. Do not fill the heating chamber tightly as airflow can be restricted.
A: It’s possible the convection process will stir your materials naturally for you, but if it doesn’t, please stir after every balloon or every few draws.
A: The Extreme Q has an auto shut off timer with a user-selected 2 or 4 hour delay.

As a general safety rule, do not leave the Extreme Q unattended while powered on.

A: The Extreme Q uses two different types of screens.

One is flat, is roughly 18mm (~.72 in) and the other has been molded into a particular cup shape, and it fits in the elbow, both are available here.

A: There are a few differences. The V-Tower is a whip-only vaporizer, whereas the Extreme Q has an air pump that allows for balloon inflation as well as standard whip usage.

The Extreme Q also has a remote control, the V-Tower does not.

A: The Extreme Q is a dual function vaporizer that can use a whip or fill a balloon with its fan, and a remote control. The V-Tower is whip only, and cannot inflate balloons.
A: Absolutely! Check the ‘What’s in the Box’ tab for a full list of what is included with the Extreme Q.
A: The Extreme Q has dual-wall stainless steel, so the outside stays cool to the touch.
A: Absolutely, the Extreme Q is a versatile dual-purpose vaporizer, allowing for balloon inflation and direct draw whip usage.
A: Arizer only uses borosilicate glass, which has great strength and can handle high thermal shock. However, if you are prone to dropping things, Arizer makes the Tuff Bowl, which is an insulated, protected version of the Cyclone Bowl.
A: Definitely, using the remote. If you are using the Extreme Q with the external battery, you might want keep them off to conserve battery power for what’s truly important!
A: The Extreme Q Vaporizer Glass Tuff Bowl is a reinforced, insulated version of the Cyclone Bowl. Made out of borosilicate glass wrapped with a heat resistant surface, it provides a substantially cooler place to grab while removing the cyclone from the unit. This also protects the unit from most falls.
A: If you have 19mm ground glass, you should be ready to go with one of the included glass elbow adapters.
A: Fill your Cyclone Bowl with your favorite scents and fill your vape bag with the vapor. When the bag is full, squeeze it and disperse the fragrance in the area you want to deodorize. The amount to disperse depends on the condition of the area to be treated. Repeat as needed.
A: 3ft, but extensions are available if needed.
A: The Extreme Q can handle multiple power sources, either 110V or via an external battery pack. Never leave the Extreme Q home again!
A: Generally if you have thin vapors from the Extreme Q, its caused by not enough blend being loaded. The Extreme Q can handle any amount of blend, however the less you use, the thinner the vapors will be.

Its also possible that your temperature is set a degree or two too low.

A: Definitely, many owners prefer this method.
A: The Extreme Q has a built in auditory signal for button presses and menu changes, but this can be turned off on the remote control.

Cleaning & Maintenance

A: The Extreme Q was designed with ease of use in mind, and that extends to cleaning the unit.

Always unplug the vaporizer from the electrical outlet and allow to cool COMPLETELY before cleaning, 30 minutes should be sufficient.

Always make sure your vaporizer is COMPLETELY dry before plugging it back in.

Do not attempt any internal or external repairs to your unit as doing so may cause fatal injury – or worse – void your warranty! (Please contact us if you feel something is wrong with your vaporizer.)

The glass is easily cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft flexible brush for stubborn buildup. The hose can be soaked in warm soapy water until all buildup is dislodged. Never bring liquids near the Extreme Q; if you need to clean the unit itself, wipe down with a warm damp cloth.

More cleaning information is available on the ‘Cleaning’ tab.

A: Inspect your Extreme Q periodically, paying special attention to anything that might have accidentally fallen inside. The Cyclone Bowl, glass elbow connector and hose/balloon will take most of the buildup. Clean as instructed on the ‘Cleaning’ tab.
A: It’s okay on the glass only. To clean the hose, please flush with warm soapy water. Seal the ends with your fingers, and shake vigorously. Repeat as needed. To clean the Extreme Q itself, use a lightly damp, warm cloth to clean the outside.
A: The Cyclone Bowl, the glass elbow, and the hose or balloon will experience the most build-up.
A: Many elements of the Extreme Q are replaceable, from the balloons to the whips and most every part in between. If you need something for your Extreme Q, take a look at our replacement parts.
A: A soft brush or a chanile stick combined with isopropyl alcohol will be sufficient for the glass parts, and a warm damp cloth for the unit. Never clean the Extreme Q or any aspect of it until it has been unplugged and completely cooled down.
A: The Extreme Q is a long-term investment. Protect it with a soft-sided or hard-sided case.

Ordering – Returns – Warranty

A: The Extreme Q carries a lifetime warranty on the ceramic heating element. The Extreme Q and the V-Tower have a limited 3-year warranty covering parts and labor costs against defects in materials and workmanship.
A: Not at this time.

Getting the Most Out of Your Extreme Q

  • Keep the elbow screen clean. Soak in isopropyl alcohol as needed. Its absolutely vital that this screen stay clean! Air flow will be effected if the elbow screen is allowed to clog up. Keep an extra one ready, and if you need even more extra’s, we have you covered.
  • Loading loosely with small amounts is fine, but will provide a thinner vapor experience. For thicker, denser vapor, fill fully but do not fill tightly.
  • Remove your vaporized blends from the Cyclone Bowl as soon as you can after use, this will cut down on buildup dramatically.
  • Balloons not your thing? You can still use the fan, many owners prefer this whip method.
  • Three feet of tubing not enough? All you need is an 3ft. whip extension!
  • Chip your glass heater cover? No problem, we have low-cost replacements. They are easy to swap out if you know your way around a screw driver. If not, Vape World can replace if for you. Please contact us! for more information.
  • To accelerate the vaporization process, put the Cyclone Bowl on top on the heater until the glass warms up sufficiently. Once its warm, return the whip or balloon to the Cyclone Bowl and use as directed. This will save you a bit of time, as a room temperature Cyclone Bowl will absorb much of the initial warm air that is in use. With a preheated Cylcone, the warmth is completely focused on your blends.
  • Need to plug the Extreme Q between draws? the Included glass stir tool works very well.
  • Using the external battery pack? Keep the fan use to a minimum to extend the battery as long as possible.
  • If you aren’t getting exactly the vapor quality you are after, look at adjusting any and/or all of the following variables until you find your sweet spot.
    • Grind Consistency – are the ground-up particles all roughly the same size?
    • Grind level – the Extreme Q prefers a medium grind, but experiment with finer or coarser grinds to see if it achieves the result you are after.
    • Amount Used – Some vaporizers thrive when loaded fully. Others, not so much.
    • Draw Rate – Convection vaporizers with good airflow can have their temperatures altered by the speed at which you draw a breath. As the air passes over the heating element, obviously it heats up. If you draw fast, causing the air to move quickly over the heating element, it only has “X” amount of time to heat up. However if you draw slowly, the air has much more time to heat up, and therefore will deliver a much warmer air to your blends. Drawing fast = cooler temps; drawing slow = warmer temps.

Keeping your Extreme Q clean is the best way to ensure its peak performance.

  • The elbow screens will take most of the buildup. Soaking in isopropyl alcohol will clean them perfectly. The Extreme Q comes with an extra elbow screen, but we highly recommend having a few more on hand.
  • To clean the hose, soak in warm soapy water and manipulate the hose if needed to dislodge any stubborn buildup. Rinse twice and allow to air dry before use.
  • The Extreme Q body can be cleaned with a warm damp cloth. Always unplug the Extreme Q before cleaning, and allow it to cool down. Never bring liquids near the Extreme Q.
  • Emptying the Cylcone Bowl immediately after use will cut down on the buildup you experience.
  • Soaking the Cyclone Bowl in isopropyl alcohol should remove any buildup, use a small soft brush if necessary.
  • When your balloon becomes dirty, replace it. We have replacement balloons available.

Need Assistance with your Extreme Q?

Try these Solutions to common issues:

A: If there is an error displayed on your Machine, email a digital photo of the error code to along with your full name and shipping address, the model number on the bottom of the unit, and a copy of your sales receipt.
A: If your machine will not power on, email a description of the problem to along with your full name and shipping address. the model number on the bottom of the unit, and a copy of your sales receipt.
A: If it is taking longer than usual to fill the balloons, there are three likely reasons:

  • The dome screen in the glass elbow adapter is clogged and needs to be cleaned or replaced.
  • It is time to replace the balloon.
  • The internal glass heater cover has been accidentally cracked or broken, and air is escaping the airflow.
A: If using 110v power, ensure all connections are tight from the wall to the Extreme Q. If on external battery power, ensure the batteryis fully charged, and that the connections are all snug and functional.
A: If the Extreme Q is reporting accurate temperatures which are set according to your specific blend, and you are still not getting vapor production, check to see that the cyclone Bowl has been freshly loaded and does not contain spent/used blends. Make the internal fan is operational, remove the whip or balloon and feel for warm air coming out of the top of the Extreme Q.
A: Its time to turn it down. We suggest starting with a much lower temperature, one that might not even vaporize, and working your way up from there. This is a foolproof method to prevent over-heating!
